They've converted all our water meters to electronic remote readers here. After a few (a year+) teething problems I finally saw the readings being done yesterday. Gone are the days of 2 guys, one with a clip board, the other with a damp sponge on a stick walking from house to house, now there's just 2 guys in a Miev, one driving really slowly while the other waves the receiver out the window. That's progress!

At the weekend I definitely didn't get all my tools together and the little Twingo shoe-horned into the garage ready to change the front discs and pads and then as I was about to remove the road wheel I definitely didn't suddenly remember that the Copperslip still hasn't arrived from Amazon therefore aborting the work instantly.
