I guess 32 stone  - or in technical parlance, anything that doesn't bend in the middle.

Congrats to Daughter_Welly. 8)
I did the same with my son years ago, I believe it gives them a much better insight than driving school tuition alone and they're more experienced and hopefully safer when they do pass.

I have a horrible and very important deadline looming at work which is my soul responsibility so naturally I'm reading up about PSA 1.6 THP petrol engine issues on the internet :?

Why? just why? :(

Deadline will become compelling enough to command enough of your attention for just long enough to save the day.

No, I've never* done the same sort of thing.

Congrats to Miss W. & Mr.D. :cheesy:

I've not been anywhere or done anything much, although I'm presently putting off hanging a sodding huge mirror in the new bathroom...

Badoom-tish!

Took me 3 goes to get it up there (mrs), the paperwork says 10Kg  Damn heavy anyway. Also, I had to use special skyhook rawls for breezeblocks, for that is what the wall is made of. I didn't even know they existed but I voiced my concerns to the chap in the shop and he came up with a pair of these

Drill 14mm hole and hammer in gently. They seem pretty sturdy anyroads.

They've converted all our water meters to electronic remote readers here. After a few (a year+) teething problems I finally saw the readings being done yesterday. Gone are the days of 2 guys, one with a clip board, the other with a damp sponge on a stick walking from house to house, now there's just 2 guys in a Miev, one driving really slowly while the other waves the receiver out the window. That's progress!

In the UK they stick simcards in them and they can read them from a desk.

Hmm, I'd suspect for the cost of a simcard for every house here they could afford to employ 2 guys flying around in a helicopter.

At the weekend I definitely didn't get all my tools together and the little Twingo shoe-horned into the garage ready to change the front discs and pads and then as I was about to remove the road wheel I definitely didn't suddenly remember that the Copperslip still hasn't arrived from Amazon therefore aborting the work instantly. No that didn't happen to me.

Nothing that matters in the overall scheme of things, (at least my bit of it anyway).

Hope you managed to help Max and he's going to be OK.
