I rang my insurance when I go the Mondeo, and they wanted nearer £700 for the mondeo but when asked they said i'd be covered for the 406 as well.
I've had to transfer my private plate over, so thought i'd let the insurance run until this came through and look at kicking my insurers into touch
So done the plate change, and did an online quote, and although not the cheapest, I managed to get quoted £345 with Hastings Premium, which is protected no claims, guaranteed courtesy car, legal protection, free breakdown cover blah blah blah, all singing and dancing policy, and get this, the excess is......................£0, yes £0 excess!!!
SO rings them up, and asks how would I stand for covering the 406 whilst I sell it.
They've just done me a quote, and when they asked how many miles per annum, I said non, I wont be driving it as i'll be declaring it sorn on friday whilst selling it
They said, you got to have a mileage, so I said what's the lowest, he said 50miles, so I said put that in, and he comes back, and says £780, I say for both, No he says, just for the 406 !
WTF a 50mile per annum policy and they want £780!!!

I said, I won;t be needing the policy as i'll stick with my current insurer until I sell the 406 and come back to you
