ive changed cambelt /tensioner/waterpump. on my 206 today, what a doddle,
took me longer to get the wheel off,

how ever the aux belt is a complete basterd to get back on,
you need small hands ripped my self to bits squeezing my hands in there

Is the crank locking pin behind / above the starter, (like a proper engine) - it's about the only but not on your pic.......
Guessing it's a spring-loaded aux belt tensioner too? (I have small hands , but a feeling I won't be immune from shedding a bit of skin ).

ididnt lock the crank off. ijust Made a Marker. its easier,

The Aux belt is a Mare. you need two sets of hands, get someone to hold the aux belt on the crank pulley whilst you route the belt
theres no room in there, so expect a few scrapes on your arms,

As of the Timing belt ithink there one of the easiest engines to change the belt on,

well ive been waiting for a mobile mechanic to come round who has now not turned up twice!!!
still in other news it might be going as ive just found a 306 diesel 1.4 needs a back exhaust and a battery bloke wants 200 pounds for it so we will see what happens.

Didn't find it too bad, (but I did make a sketch of which way it went, like I always mean to but never remember). Got it off easily, but I had someone hold the tensioner while I put it back on. I can see it would be a sod on your own.
