changing coil packs

Hi all I'm going to be replacing both coil packs, sparks and ht leads on my d8 v6 engine as its missing under full throttle anything I should be aware of that might hinder me? I'll get a new inlet manifold gasket and sealant but is there anything else you guys know of?

Also another quick question gonna be doing a box oil change too, I have 2 litres and think I have read it holds 2 litres, does that sound right?

Theres no 1.6s in 406s,

theyd be rather Slow and totaly useless if there was,

Nah he means the gearbox oil ;p I have no service book cos the engine is in a Citroën c2

Sealant's not required. I've never heard of problems with the fake (rear) coil pack or HT leads on these cars - just change the actual coil pack. Be aware the allen bolts holding it in are going to be *TIGHT*. Best to have an impact driver to hand if you don't want to round the bolts.

If you've got a coupé, or a saloon/estate with a retro-fitted strut brace, then don't do this with the car in the air!

Having said all that, the likely cause of full throttle missing is air starvation - check the inlet pipe under the n/s wheelarch to see if it's collapsed.

It's 1.9 litres. Easiest way to fill up is by removing the reverse light switch (under the air filter box, grey connector) and pouring it in there.
