my 4 channel amp that powers my 4 music speakers is set to about 100hz

my other 4 channel amp that powers my 2 subs is set just under 100hz

subs set to low pass means everything under 100hz goes to the subwoofers

4 music speakers set to high pass means everything over 100hz goes to them

you want your hz set to the same around 80-100hz but obviously set the high and low pass filters to suit the music/sub speakers

ye your components handle everything over 100hz,

your head units high pass filter set it to around the same as your subs setting, i just use 100hz

the proper way of setting them up is you want your head unit on full volume setting 1st, turn all amps down , once the volume on the head unit is almost at max you then adjust the input level on the amps,

my headunit lets me set the lp aswell, i dunno which one to use, spose set it to 100 hz on the amp and 100hz on the headunit, if that doesnt mess up the amp settings

leave the headunits LPF off if your using an external amp to power the sub

yes that what happens thats why i use a power capacitor and a external amp to power the music speakers

if you think of it this way its easier to understand,

you have a external amp powering a sub ,

and the head unit powering the music speakers,

the head units small amp cant keep up with an external amplifier, theres no comparison

so to get right you have to turn the subwoofer down so they all play at the correct level and sound good together

i just set it all to 100 hz but i cant turn the lpf off on the headunit so i set that to 100hz aswell, and you can adjust the level of the sub on the headunit so you can have the speakers louder or visa versa, i need to get some good components, just need to ger my head round that iso procedure
