Nope. They would have written it off if I hadn't cancelled the claim. The value they gave was £1000, which was fair, but then they wanted to deduct money for the undeclared mods (£350) and to deduct money for the vehicle inspection / valuation (£50) and then they wanted the voluntary excess (£350) so in the end I'd be getting £250 for the car AND I'd be losing my NCB because the other f*cker didn't bother leaving his insurance details. So I cancelled the claim, paid them the £350 for the undeclared mods and £50 for the vehicle inspection.
