hiya can ayone help my speedo keeps going of and the car slumps then wen it starts again the car responds as it should ive a 2.0 desil can anyone help

ok as u can tell i dont know much but someone said ??that 2 me cos wen the speedo stops working the car gets slugish ,,but wen it starts workin ther seems 2 get a power surge,,its noe also seems to become nosiy and not as resposive as wen i bought it 6 weeks ago ,,can anyone advise me wots wrong and hoe 2 put these things right

Hi there. I guess that'll be the speedometer transducer on the gearbox, the engine management takes input from it.

Small module on top of the differential housing, may have a heat shield around it. Check the connector first. Maybe breakers but Pug will do you one for your left kidney.
