Someone has said you can buy a spray that will cover up the imperfections - anone heard of it, or had experience of using it??

I've bought a leather steering wheel off a coupe.

Hi - I dont know about a spray but if you have leather you want to get back looking original and in good condition then you would be best off gettng leather paint - I have seen several done and am planning doing my seats in my BMW this summer - ebay have

who i know someone who have used and are very good so I am told - and if its for the stearing wheel then a black dye would do I think. or equivalent.

I got some of that stuff once, it was ordered by a local vehicle upholsterer for me and colour matched to a sample of the leather. I had a scuff / surface tear in the base of the back seat caused by a cow-orker who got in the car with a screwdriver in his pocket (only a couple of weeks after I got the car 
). The replacement seat cover was £460 so I took it to the upholsterer who suggested this stuff. He told me to use a thin brush with the paint to "fill" the tear, apparently enough coats will fill it completely so that it disappears. I did loads of coats and eventually stopped, you can still see the damage but it's under the kiddy seats anyway

acrylic paint can be used to re furbish leather , weak miture and many coats so it soaks in to leather works best , i have doe arms on leather suite i have and its perfect
