Suspension Heights

Post by Tim »

Hey all

Do the stock suspension strut/shock/spring heights differ between models?

For instance - would V6 coupe struts (the sportiest model) be shorter than diesel estate struts, and would they fit?

Thanks

I don't know about the V6 Coupe struts, but I know for certain that the Diesel model struts are different to the petrol model ones, however, I can't remember which one is shorter than the other.

Ah ok, thats something to consider

I was basically hoping i could swap in the suspension from another model of 406 to drop it slightly without buggering around with expensive aftermarket lowering springs

Was also hoping that the v6 engine was similar weight to my 2.1TD, so the spring rates would be 'ball-park' ok

:-)

The executive D9 has a lower ride hight but I'm not sure about the D8 or if D9 units will fit.

I'm sure I've seen catalogues where the 2.1 front springs are listed as the same as the V6 but I can't find any now :frown:
