HDI 90 BHP remap to 125 BHP

Post by Avgasandy »

Just had my 90 BHP HDI remap done to 125 BHP and what a difference! every time i drive the car it makes me smile, when i arrive at work i have a grin on my face and all the lads know why.
The car drives fantastic and pulls strongly in all gears the engine feels free.
Small amounts of throttle gives me performance it never used to have and you can see why the fuel saving factor comes in.
This is what the 406 should of been like from standard i just cannot put into words the difference this has made to the car.
Its great its like buying a new car except without the expense.
Anyone out there considering getting a remap done do it you will not regret it, for me a £160.00 well spent.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Thats how i feel
Regards
Andy

Also my temp gauge remains the same no noticable smoke from exhaust, all in all fantastic car has a new lease of life

Hi a week on and i am still :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: with the difference the remap has made to my car its great.
Its brought back the fun factor to driving proper wolf in sheeps clothing now.
Should of done this over a year ago when i got the car.
Already i can see i am going to get better fuel economy by the movement of the fuel gauge to miles driven.
Regards
Andy

It's a shame your not more pleased about it all

You did a good thing here as the 90bhp engine seems to be proving more reliable here.

You could try asking this.....

Bonjour, je veux des morceaux dans mon boîtier de commande pour ma voiture étant rapide et populaire j'aime prendre une grande saucisse dans mon pantalon

Sorry, Babelfish don't do Bosnian or Serbo-Croatian or whatever so French is the best bet.

Akchewelly, closer with the Bosnian, Serbo-Croat no longer exists and it'd be kind of hard to link two similar languages with a completely different alphabet anyway (their choice, dumbasses). I could try the French but, seeing as how Croatian is as similar to French as English is to Swahili, I doubt I'd get far. :P

My last car was a Hdi 90.
Did 100,000 miles in it, never thought you could get this big an improvement so cheaply, typical :(

Anyone brave enough to have tried it with a 2.2?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Someone registered on here once who had a 2.2 running at 165bhp but we never heard a peep out of him :|

Thanks people.
Didn't really expect to hear it was easy / cheap / trouble free, but you never know...
Think I'll wait for someone else to pioneer this development.

What do pioneers get?
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
