2.0 16v starting problem ...... interesting find

Post by philg »

So i was having a starting problem first thing in the morn which i immediately assumed to be temperature problem.... however recently i noticed something, so i put it to a test this morning, and she confirmed what i thought.

I park the car facing downhill last night, and this morning she started first time on the first turn, no bother at all.
I can only persume this is now a fueling related problem. Now, whats the chances theres an air leak into the fuel pipe (doubtful, as there is NO signs of petrol leaking out), and whats the chances the lifter pump aint doing its job (although when i turn on ignition i can hear the wizz noise, a sign of fuel lines priming?)?????

ps. i have already changed the fuel filter, and the car is not down on power when i'm driving it.
