i went round a long fast left hand corner yesterday in my Mi16 and half way round the oil pressure light come on and the engine made wot i can only describe as a sucking sound . i know these engines are common for oil to drain away from the pick up point on the pump but only on right hand corners due to the pump being on the left of the engine . as soon as i slowed down and straightened up the light when off and the noise stopped . i checked my oil level and it was just below the max on the dip stick so i dont think it was that , do you have any ideas wot could have caused it ?
check the oil level again after leaving it to cool down for about an hour
you wont be pulling enough G-force to strangle the oil pump, most likely a poor connection on the oil pressure switch plug, try moving the plug about on the switch and get an assistant to see if the light comes on

Previous to my 406 I had an MI16 4X4, that was an awesome ride great engine response and road handling, its a pity the 406 SRI is not a 16v turbo, I need more grunt!
