Hi all. Well, having surmised that the crankshaft pulley almost certainly is the culprit for the ominous intermittent high pitch squeaking (which has a 'metallic' sound to it) I, pointlessly, contacted the local Pug parts dept to make enquiry. I had already read there are a number of different pulleys/part no.s so needed to know the correct one for the car. All i got from them was - 'not a stock part and will need to order from the factory - which will require a down payment. Takes about three weeks....... ' Cost was over £150 !
Only positive bit of information I got was that the diameter is 158mm.
When I asked was it the 0515S4 or the 0515R2 part, all I got was the ubiquitous "I'm not going to give out part numbers...." . I thought, ' no, nor are you going to be selling many either - not with that price and attitude....' so, end of conversation.
I believe the correct pulley has the 'vibration damper' built in - maybe they all do? Hoping this may be the cure to the vibration through the rear view mirror I have been experiencing, or part of it anyway?
Wondered if anyone could help with this search then? Car is the 2.0 HDi 110 (auto). many thanks - as always.

Guess nobody knows then....? Had hoped maybe someone had swapped theirs out and may have remembered the art number or the type ?

I took one off my scrap 406 and fitted it to a Xsara, no problem, I think most of them are the same.

My 2003 53 plate 110 stated it needs a solid one according to service box which i fitted but i took a knackered dampened one off
, my previous 52 plate 110 needed a dampened one acccording to service box,i have a good spare dampened one i'm never going to use now if you need one.I would assume a solid or dampened one would be o.k.
