I am 45 last week, I still own a Grey Volvo, and a Citroen Diesel Slushmatic, I have a job I hate, I like cooking and Gardening in my spare* time.

I think a C Class would be my next car it's just that I don't really need a new car so it depends if I want to commit to spending more money. I'm sort of 'into' the Volvo and keeping it looking fresh and now it's kinda one of the nicer examples for its age so slightly more appealing.
I've also replaced just about all of the Ford suspension now so it's almost a 4 year old 10 year old car.
