For Sale 2001 - 406 GTX HDi 110bhp

Post by GeordieBoy »

2001 Y reg 406 GTX HDi 110bhp. Currently 126k miles. In the best Colour Peugeot do Metallic Samurkand Blue. MOT 17 July 07, NO TAX. Excellent condition all round. No rust whatsoever anywhere, underneath covered in Tetroseal / Hammerrite to protect it. 15" Standard Alloy Wheels with very good recent tyres.

2 very carefull owners from new at a cost of almost £20k. 1st owner had it as a company car and worked for Lloyds TSB and done 111k miles in 4yrs with FSH from Peugeot. Each service done bangon everytime, I have a full printout of everything that was done to the car from Lloyds TSB. Me, a m8 and a local garage have done the maintenance for the past 14mths 15k miles. NEW Crankshaft Pulley as of last week. This car has been very well looked after and NOT hammered.

This car is a pleasure to drive, with the looks to give any man a huge stiffy and want to make love to it. :cheesy:

It has a unique Silver Dash, Instrument Cluster etc.
Seats are in excellent condition, drivers seat has a slight mark on it, rear seats hardly used.
Excellent MPG at Motorway speed 50+MPG.
Incredibly Comfortable.
Cruise Control
Electric Everything and surprisingly for Peugeot it all works

Current bad points are:
2 small dents, 1 near petrol cap and 1 side of front bumper (both drivers side).
Crap Stainless Steel Backbox, but this can be replaced for £60.

I'm looking for £3,000 ONO

Yeah I will defo miss it on long runs, but I dont do too many of those atm.

I'm looking at a Ford Sierra 2.0 GT atm for a Drift/Track/Project Car. If I get that and it proves reliable within a mth then I will do what I can to sell the 406. I fancy a BMW 325 as well. :cheesy:

I defo dont want to sell the 406, but I think its gonna have to go to fund the BMW and to help pay the repair bills on the Ford.

No one here on this forum familiar with your antics in this car is going to buy it mate.
I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole! You've thrashed it to within an inch of its life and moaned all that way along. Just telling the truth.

Btw, the cars worth max £2445 in a private sale. That silly zorst actually brings that down to about £2225 due to less desirablility and evidence of modifications.

I have been thinking recently that the HDi has been advertised for a lot more than these 'guide' prices you get on parkers and other sites.

It seems people are prepared to pay the going rate, on auto trader they are still advertised for decent money IMO.

The only time you will get hammered is on a trade-in figure on these.

Good luck with the sale Geordie.

I'll let you know when I stop laughing.
Will you let me know when you quit your delusions of grandure?

The phat zorst will stop you getting anywhere near "normal" prices.
