You know what, these dashcam thingies really dumb down the experience. This totally oblivious twat (DG64 LJK for google purposes) pulled out on me today and I really thought I was going to hit it, full on ABS and a proper brown trouser moment. Yet it looks like nothing on the dashcam, it's kinda disappointing really. :supafrisk: :supafrisk:

Sorry about the language (and the music, you can blame Steve Wright for that!), still haven't worked out how to edit the sound

That is truly appalling driving.

I know what you mean about the cam making it seem like nothing - maybe I should make a compilation of some of the recent idiocy I have witness/recorded!

That looks quite normal to me. I was saying to the lady who did my brains test Tuesday how short tempered I seem to be these days, I said that when I drive I start out all calm and relaxed but, by the time I reach my destination, I end up wanting to kill somebody. She said "yeah, me too."

I tried all the recommendations for video editing there were on here (handbrake and, er, lightworks I think) but either they didn't do what I wanted or they wanted real cash money, so I've ended up using Windows Movie Maker. Not sure if you can change the soundtrack (probably but I've never tried it) but I've been using it to mute the audio to spare everyone's ears :supafrisk:

I think the sound is important to the vid though, that's why I haven't just turned it off on the camera. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to keep my gob shut and incidents like that inevitably result in a string of expletives. What I'd really like is to be able to just blank or bleep out the swearing.

Oh, there's loads of swearing on traffic cam vids on youtube, don't sweat it.

I was fiddling about with your vid in movie maker but I couldn't get it to work without deleting half of it, so I googled it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB2fcF_TXtA don'tcha love being told how to do stuff by a spotty kid?

I enjoy how after the "f*** sake!" the song lyrics say "I wasn't expecting that" :cheesy: :cheesy:

Dai is famous!

Does make me laugh a bit these UK vids, I mean look at the Russian vids where everything gets smashed to a pulp and drivers eject through the windscreens. Makes our "oh crikey that chappy nearly scuffed by nearside wing mirror casing so I swerved slightly" look a bit lame.

No offence Dai.

None taken Welters.

I saw that compilation on the Farcebook recently, was happily watching and chuckling away then it was "this seems strangely familiar.... oh shyte it's me!!!". They did well to find it though, I uploaded the vid to Yew Chube but didn't publish or share it anywhere but this 'ere forum, I checked the original when I first saw the compilation and it'd only had about 30 odd views.

Don't see anywhere near as much stupidity on the roads these days, what with the half a mile commute that I usually walk :D. Those that I do see I'm quite often in the wife's car or the company pool car, so no evidence :supafrisk:

Your video in the compilation had an acknowledgement to your name in the top right, it must have been found from here :?
