Fuel gauge

Hello all

I got hold of a set of 5 dials from a Y reg hdi 110 since I put them in the fuel gauge doesn’t seem to be working, it was on the second line from the red when I fitted them drove around 100 miles it didn’t move so I put £20 in it then moved to half a tank and stayed there, I’ve put the old 4 dials back in and the has taken about 10 mins to move from the 2nd line to around 1/4 of a tank. Is this a problem with the dials or my car, the oil temp gauge doesn’t work but going to see a nice man from the Peugeot forum on Sunday to enable this and the trip computer.

Any help is appreciated don’t fancy running out of fuel on the motorway

taken about 10 mins to move from the 2nd line to around 1/4 of a tank

So that's moved from a sixth to a quarter. That's about 8% of the needle's full travel, so not very far at all.
I'd have said that's within the margin of error of the fuel gauge

For the oil temp there are three places you have to enable it: the instrument cluster, the BSI, and the engine ECU. (The engine ECU will be told that the car doesn't have an oil temperature sensor even though it does.)

That was when i put the old dials back in, the new dials is still stuck on half
