Until I can visit Graeme the indicator man in Bradford, is there a simple way to 'remove' the annoying Ping sound which accompanies a fresh instruction on the display panel? I wear long distance specs for driving, so cannot read the display anyway.
The sat nav does not work (managed without one for 54 years so not bothered) so I would like to silence the 'Ping'.
Advice will be appreciated. Mine's a 2004 Hdi 90. Thanks.

erm, clear the route? Or just remove the disk from the drive which turns the whole thing off.

Thanks for reply. I have ejected the disc but the annoying Ping is still alive! It sounds when the automatic lights are enabled/disabled. Propose living with it for a couple of days whilst I tackle changing desktop PC from XP to 7-not my idea of fun!

If its only the auto-lights doing it then leave them turned off....
If it does it all the time then you need to disable the auto-lights with Peugeot's PP2000 diagnostic program by a friendly forum member.
I'm not sure if you can turn the volume off or not - I guess as its a warning display then it should be audible too. I think the 'auto-wipers is enabled' is a silent message though..?

You can turn the auto lights off by holding the button on the left hand stalk.
It's the same to enable them, so it can take a couple of goes to work out which way round it is.

Re: MFD/Sat nav 'Ping'
I have tried enabling & disabling the auto lights by holding the indicator stalk button as suggested. This alters the setting but not permanently. the next occasion when the indicators are used prompts a change to enabled from disabled with an appropriate message on the display panel, accompanied by a 'Ping'! It appears the auto lights situation changes everytime the indicators are actioned. A trip to Bradford to see Graeme is my only option methinks, to get the indicator/lights stalk exchanged or sorted. Thankyou for trying to sort it out.

Re: MFD/Sat nav 'Ping'
I had the same thing - thats why I de-activated the auto-lights with PP2000. On occasions the lights would just turn themselves off when it was dark and would not go back on no matter how much I twiddled the stalk, bloody dangerous.
Once they are disabled then the ping will stop and the lights will be either on or off, you will be in control..
I think the chap in Bradford has a very quick turn around so maybe you can send your comms unit off and be without the car for a couple of days ( must send mine off one day too....
