Mileage or 'Kilometrage' on Planet

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Mileage or 'Kilometrage' on Planet

Post by gumby6371 »

I ran diagnostics on a 307 the other day for a friend of a friend who'd managed to pick up an 01 plate 307 2.0 HDI 90 flavour for £100 due to a noisy engine and a sticky TPS (jammy git)
When I plugged planet in it came up with the VIN and mileage as normal but I noticed Planet had just over 200 thousand on and the clocks said 125,000 milesish, does planet read in Kilometres or has it been clocked somehow?
The engine was so bloody noisy due to the drive belt tensioner bouncing around all over the place that I didn't play too much with planet so I could shut the bloody engine off!!!

Nice car mind, body work was very good and my mate said it went well after he'd cleaned the TPS, absolute bargain for scrap money. I did say I'd have it off him for what he paid as you could easily turn a nice profit from minimal effort but the owner wasn't keen for some reason.

The 406 I did earlier this afternoon read 700,000 km for some reason, don't ask me why!

HI, for some reason both PP2000 and Lexia read in Kilometers no mater what setting you use - in fact is clearly says the word 'miles' even though it displays kilometrage - its a kilomoutrage....

When I plugged the wifes car in to do a Lexia check and nearly spat my coffee out when I saw the low mileage Picasso had done 140,000 miles - turns out its Kilometers so its about right for an 89,000 mile car.

Even more bizarely, both of mine have shown km travelled as 'miles', but average consumption as mpg. :?

Thanks for the confirmation, I thought that was the case but doesn't hurt to check
