306 GTI-6 Pads
Has anyone tried fitting these to a 406? Some manufacturers list the same pad for both, some have different part numbers. Some have a pad that is 3mm taller for the 306 compared to the 406 but other dimensions are the same. There is a far better selection of performance orientated pads for the 306 than 406. I think they will fit, but has anyone had any experience of this?

Re: 306 GTI-6 Pads
Why bother mate, EBC do there green, red & yellow stuff pads for this car. The Reds are cracking fast road pads.

Re: 306 GTI-6 Pads
306 calipers are different to 406 calipers, so I wouldn't risk buying a set to find that they dont sit nicely. I would only suggest you buy uprated pads if you were going to do racing or track days and if you are, I would suggest you do a 406 coupe brembo conversion on it to get some proper braking instead of uprated pads on lucas calipers.
Re: 306 GTI-6 Pads
Apart from the obvious benefits of having better brakes, I'm going to be using the 406 to trailer another car to the track, so in light of towing a large heavy trailer, I was looking into uprated stoppers. My choice is usually DS2500 which last I looked weren't available in 406 fitment, but seem to be now, so no problem. Likewise I didn't realise (largely due to EBC's terrible catalogue) that red and yellowstuff were available, so more options.

Re: 306 GTI-6 Pads
Cheers mate, EBC seems to be the way to go and not too expensive.

EBC is good stuff,
less dust on the alloys with these, ifind they take an age to bed in unlike other pad's
good value for money tho .
