Can get mye hands on a decent 2.1 diesel sedan, is it any good? My current 406 is a 1.8 petrol, and I really just want the diesel for the extra torque and better fuel economy. How will the 2.1 fare?

I used to have the 2.1td estate and she was beautiful!
406 estate, 2.1TD, I fixed her, then part exchanged her for a Mercedes E300TD Avantgarde Estate.

50mpg on a 70mph motorway run, up to 55mpg on mixed A-roads. I loved my 2.1TD and have just let it go, was a fantastic car, I'm sure you'll like it.
