ABS rings from ebay?

Post by flyin2wheeler »

my car is up for mot and it has a cracked abs ring
didnt want to buy a drive shaft so got this instead
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PEUGEOT-406-A ... 27c00b69cd
Went to fit it today.removed the old abs ring, cleaned the end of the shaft and went to fit the new ring ant it is way too big.
ended up having to weld the crack in the old ring in the hope it passes the mot.
no abs light on in the car so here,s hoping as at this point, its too late to get a replacment. :frown:

welding an abs ring is fine and wont be a problem for the mot unless the abs light is on

hopefully,i get away with it.
im up at 7.50 pm monday and im at work all day so i cant take steps to fix it on monday.
Dont know if you are aware but our mot system in N.I is a lot more severe than in mainland uk.
we have about 10 test centres here, all N.I gov run.
no such thing here as going to a dealership for an mot
they really give cars a scruitineering over here
