ASDA Tyres?
http://www.asdatyres.co.uk/
Anybody tried them? Prices look pretty keen - maybe worth knowing about, if only as a convenient, 'what's the best you've been quoted so far'? answer.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: ASDA Tyres?
They are quoting prices including the fitting
not seen that before.
If that's the case mine have come out about £40.00 cheaper overall.

Re: ASDA Tyres?
Do you mean Asda are cheaper, or your local supplier? If it's the latter, please let me know where you got them.

Re: ASDA Tyres?
Saw this on another forum, a few people are saying that you can buy them on Asda and go to your local garage for collection / fitting for less than the garage themselves can do them. That's the buying power of Wal-Mart for you I suppose!

I got myself a Costco account recently and was surprised to see their collection of tyres

I've always thought it would be awkward turning up at a tyre shop for a 'fit only' ? kinda like your taking the piss buying the expensive bit somewhere else?
I have been for a fit-only in the Winters but combined it with an Alignment job so didn't feel so bad, and they didn't bat an eye lid

Re: ASDA Tyres?
Not much difference for my car, got 4 budget tyres at my local tyre place last week @£70 each....problem is I think the buggers have damaged one or more of the electronic valves, reading as a punctured tyre on the MFD.....gggrrrr

Re: ASDA Tyres?
Tesco are in on it too http://www.tesco-tyres.com/
I've turned up a couple of times for a fit back in the days when the tyre shops charged a few quid for the privilege, but they've got wise to it now and upped the fitting costs (fair enough too), so I've stopped doing it. TBH by the time you've bought the tyres, got them delivered to work, lugged them about in the car and then paid to have them fitted you're only saving a pound or 2 if anything over the prices of my local independent, it's just not worth it.
The best thing you can do if you want to save money on tyres is stay away from the likes of sh*t-Fit and Halfrauds (unless they've got an offer on

Re: ASDA Tyres?
That Tesco Tyres shows the EU labelling, which I haven't seen before.
Kumho: C/C/72db. £58.
Michelin Energy: C/A/70db. £71.
Hankook: B/B/69. £58.
(Prices fully fitted.)
Ratings are fuel efficiency / wet grip / noise.
From personal experience, I would definitely have said that the Kumhos were better in the wet, and the Michelins were much quieter.
However, I'll have the Hankooks please. In fact, I can't see any tyre that equals or beats it on all three ratings.
I bet the ratings are complete bollocks though -- like most things thought up by the EU.

Re: ASDA Tyres?
I've heard Camskill are good for tyres if you don't want them fitted as well.
Blackcircles quote a price including fitting, they deliver to a garage you choose then you turn up and have them fitted.
Planning to have two Conti Premium Contact 5's on the front of my D8 soon, and Blackcircles are marginally cheaper than Asda
