hi just joined

Post by spike1987 »

Hi ive only just found this site. I've had 3 406's in the past and I'm now trying to get hold of another I miss them. I bought my first one a 1.9 diesel r reg when I first started doing 100+ miles a day. I upgraded that to a v reg hdi estate. The last one I had was the best it was a w reg hdi saloon. I kept it for about a year and it had done 290,000 miles when I got rid of it. I only sold it because I moved closer to work and decided to have a 4x4 I guess I covered about 75k in the 3 in the time I owned them. They were cheap amazing cars and I would love another. Anyway forgot to say hi

Hi & welcome to the forum. 8)

I guess we won't try to persuade you of the merits of a 406, (but we'll probably squabble like schoolkids to tell you which is the best kind).
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Nice little intro there!

Welcome and hope you find the car you like!

One of my old favourites is the 2.1td but they're pretty rare now. HDi's you get good ones and bad ones; I was unlucky I think with mine but others run theirs without a care in the world :|
Cars in my care:
2021 Kia Spottage 1.6 Pez Turbo Dual Clutch Gearbox Trickery
2013 Renner Twingo - donkey work
