CV Boot

Post by gumby6371 »

Took the 307 for MOT at lunch time and it's failed on a drop link and cv boot, the tester said the clip had snapped and the boot had slid back.

Didn't get chance to look myself but assuming the boot is in decent nick are there any pitfalls in just reattaching it to the hub or should I change it?

Only £11.50 for a kit but a ball ache to change when I could just put a new clip on it ???

If it's just the clip I'd leave the boot and just put a new clip on, same thing happened with my dad's 307, must be using cheap clips now!

Thanks for the quick response Rob, I'll have a look at it saturday morning and if the boot is ok I'll get some more grease and a nice big jubilee clip.
