Hello

Post by crewcutchuck »

Hi everybody

I'm hoping to maybe/possibly be picking up a hdi 110 estate next week. All looks ok apart from the dreaded clutch, which i have read can be expensive if the DMFW also needs replacement.

I currently pilot a 12v 3cyl 1L corsa :( to work and back (named Weeble because as of yet its wobbled but not fallen down)

I'm also lucky enough to have an R33 GTR V-spec in the garage for fun

The 406 will be to replace the corsa :( as a daily hack. The Corsa :( struggles with anything over 60mph. 70mph with a slight incline is FULL throttle.

I was thinking of maybe having a go at the clutch myself but am not sure yet... :?:

Hi there :cheesy: You'd probably be better off replacing the DMF with a single mass conversion anyway, if it doesn't need changing now it will do eventually...

Hi and welcome. 8)

Hs the clutch actually failed, or is it just a 'high pedal' - (they can go for ages like this).

My son's got a Corsa.

After further consideration, :(
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
