Greetings from Jakarta - Indonesiz

Post by ynuswantoro »

Hi guys... I got several continuous challenge with my Peugeot 406 D9 year built 2003 until I found this interesting forum. I come from Jakarta, Indonesia. Here Peugeot is not as popular as Toyota, Honda, Suzuki or even Korean brands like Kia and Hyundai. Indonesian people know Peugeot from its tremendous problem in engine and electrical. So eventually Peugeot is well known here by their inherited problem. I hope that we can share one each other to solve problems in Peugeot. Thanks

That may be true with some older Peugeots but the 406 is generally very well behaved - it's just a shame that nobody takes the time to find this out.

I don't think Peugeots were ever that bad, I can think of far worse. I have had very few problems from my Peugeots. The Toyota, on the other hand, is an over.rated pile of junk that has given me nothing but trouble in the year that I have had the misfortune to own it.

Hi & welcome to the forum. 8)

We think our 406's are fairly reliable and the problems they do have are usually not unique, so have a search on here for answers or post your problems and we'll try to help.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
