Really? I freaking love the winter! Due to a medical issue I absolutley despise being alive between April and October.

It's not the cold which is fine, it's the phsycological thing of the day light going so quickly. Still, 3 weeks and the days draw out again. :D

Probably those too

I went out yesterday and bought a kilo of onion sets for less than 2 quid - half of them are destined for the flower beds  You've got to keep these foreign Johnnies guessing :cheesy:

What's wrong with flowers? The world would be pretty dull without them (and that's not going into the world being a barren desert...)

My sunflowers this year:

These are a more basic variety than the ones you get in the UK with one huge flower (that blows down the first time the wind blows), with small flowers and tiny seeds. I was cutting the flowers for the house. Those I could reach anyway... I measured the big boy when I pulled them all down - just over 4 meters

Hummingbird hawk moths on Mirabilis Jalalpa:

They don't like concrete...

Incidentally, you missed off plants you can smoke :P

You beat us to it when you said herbs  Those sunflowers are massive I've only managed about 8 feet that was years ago when the kids were little.
