Post by Bailes1992 »

Plan to put a few data points in my room because my WiFi is woeful.
I may go harass Dai rees at some point. Haven't made fun of his Volvo in a while!

The unfortunate thing is it's not the best time to be off, the middle of winter.

thats true
but i always had my birthday week off in june, and even then i was bored, daytime tv crap , go pub for a couple no ones there because everyones at work, back home again... that was when i was free and single and childless, now i have the same week off, my mrs thinks it's a good idea so she'll book it off and she gets bored of sitting in the house all day , and she gets bored sittin in the pub so i end up taking her bloody shopping , where i can entertain the 2 yr old daughter by taking her up and down and up and down the escalators in primark while she casually browses round the shop :x how boring

Having time off when you're married is deadly, your missus does not see this time as being of benefit to you yourself (you know, actually having a rest for once) oh no she see's it as time to give you some jobs to do :|

Bailes, sometimes you can agree to be paid for NOT taking the time off, if your company does this then that'll pay for your major service and everyfink

The same thing happens when you work from home, "I'm working from home tomorrow cos I'm drowning in admin and I need a bit of peace, can't get anything done in the office with everyone disturbing...." "Oh well since you've got a day off you can do a load of washing, clean the bathroom, hoover downstairs and polish the living room!!"
