The return of the Brussels Sprout

Post by Welly »

Yesterday I made a "Jamie Oliver" stew with Guinness, Beef and Vegetables.

Today I am farting like a trooper. Normally anything with Onion in makes me fart but these are different, very different.

Racking my brains at the origin of the fetid air surrounding me it suddenly clicked - BRUSSELS! I served the deadly dish up with a portion of steamed Sprouts :P

It's nice to get 'closure' on this as I was beginning to worry that something was seriously faulty, there's a familiarity to it as well....quite comforting :|

Any foods have an effect with you?

I had really stinky farts once, they occurred along with abdominal pains that felt like my guts were struggling with something large and culminated with the discovery that my appendix was rotten.

Compost :P

And, er, migraines make you fart?

They can be migraine triggers but there are a lot of them and developing onel depends on a lot of things, including stress. Incidentally, 8 years ago I was having one or two a week, so far this year I've had one that I'm still not even sure was a proper migraine 8)

 If i mix all these ingredients together there will be a far worse smell than compost coming from me

Lets see: Quick glance of what i bought today to get something different in the cupboards.
Fresh herbs.
Basil, chives and parsley (i always have parsley for my garlic butter. :cheesy:
sundried tomatoes.
English mustard.
All spice.
white wine vinegar.
cous cous wtf do i serve that with?
Thyme and some lemons.

That's without all the herbs and other stuff i already had now my cupboard is a right clusterfuck of stuff to cook with but where do i start.

Prawns, Onions and Cucumbers give me the shits. And I like Prawns, Onions and Cucumbers

Corned Beef makes my piss smell funny.

McDonald's Sauces appear to give me a headache.

Garlic bread makes me fart (how weird is that?) and Bread in general makes me feel bloated and crappy.

Chinese food seems to suit me well, and even my Asian cookery seems ok :o

I think cucumbers make me burp a lot, onions give me acid reflux but I still eat them. Loads of others give me high cholesterol and triglycerides so I have to avoid them :(

Basically if it vacates your arse easily then your fine. bread is stodgy stuff i don't tent to eat a lot of it myself for the same reasons.. In fact i baked two loaves to go with a stew last week and all i had was the hot crust with garlic butter.

Steve have you tried to Google (recipies with sun dried tomatoes?) or whatever you need the answer to? i did it's confusing.
So for lunch i had a crusty roll with ham, salami, chives and sun dried tomatoes... It was pretty bloody nice but had feck all to do with a Google recipe.

Again without Google this (Das ist verboten) means you can't eat egg and chips? ouch that's my fav I'd hate to not be able to eat that. :(

With the bread, a guy up the gym said to me, when it's in your stomach, it's like the proving process all over again, and the bread expands, hence the bloated feeling.

I've tried to eat less bread and potatoes during my "Lifestyle change" wherever possible. I used to have 4 slices of toast every morning with my weetabix, but rarely touch toast now.

If I have sprouts, stuffing, and sausage meat together, then it's definately depth charge time
