this is probably the only bad thing about the 406, as the d9 came out in 1999 it was too early for being required to have EOBD2, yet the technology was still implemented i.e. L4 emission control, FAP etc.
the only reason they never botherd with it when the time arrived was because the 407 was about to come hot of the production line and the 406 would have needed to have been rewired from scratch, but as the old technology was so proven they didnt bother
