I never feel safe in tiny cars.

I got some good news: I had another MRI a couple of weeks back, it turned up in the post but I couldn't see anything on it so Friday I was back to see the neurosurgeon and he couldn't either  There is nothing to see, it looks perfect :cheesy: I'm still getting the odd pain whenever I sit wrong or overdo it but nothing at all compared to how it was. Hats off to the guy with the magic hands I reckon. Now all I need to do is get myself fitter :supafrisk:

Sadly the waterworks are still a bit iffy, last night I was up so many times I took a sleeping pill and feel like crap today :( Another visit to the Eurologist I reckon. Ah well.

Glad you feeling a bit better Wiggy.

In truth the Rover 100 was not much worse in NCAP than the 3 series and Xantia of the time.

Good to hear you're on the mend, steve.

I sometimes think the waterworks issue is inevitable as one, 'matures', least I don't seem to be imune either. :(

Disagree, that's only a temporary phase - a few more and it doesn't seem to bother you any more.

Nice  I suppose you really need to wear dark trousers...

No point in making another thread but the horrible tractor has it's MOT equivalent in a wee while and this'll be the moment of truth for the restuffed cat and lambdas. I just checked the lights and found one of the numberplate lamps was out. Once more Haynes was wrong - what two bluddy clips? :frown: I gave it two options, come out or break (hot glue gun on standby  ) but it came out and, much to my surprise, was a normal bulb

Damn, I wonder how old the brake fluid is :?

Time to go - it's wallet emptying time again

I was watching the emissions test but I've got no idea what any of it means  Apart from the lambda which I thought was meant to be as close to 1.0 as dammit. I'll have a bash at translating it but it's printed in faded grey on blue (where's me specs?)

Looks like they first ran it at 2,500 rpm to heat the cat up.

Empty walk? That must be idle speed: 720rpm
CO: min: - max 0.500 actual 0.016%
CO2: min 13.0 max 18.0 actual 16.38%
HC: min - max 100 actual 25ppm
O2: min - max 0.500 actual 0.300%

Fast walk: 2680rpm
CO: min: - max 0.300 actual 0.007%
CO2: min 13.0 max 18.0 actual 16.03%
HC: min - max 100 actual 26ppm
O2: min - max 0.500 actual 0.660% (oops)
Lambda: min 0.097 max 1.030 actual 1.027

This means nothing to me... The lambda looks a bit close, the O2 was way outside but I guess they don't really care (hey, it can't be bad if we breathe the stuff, right?)

Any ideas? How does this compare to the UK MOT?
