Old skooler's like me convert 1.50/ltr into £6.81 per Gallon anyone remember the public outcry when petrol reached £5.00 per gallon?

I keep writing to my MP asking him to put his name down to support the FairFuelUK campaign - all he seems to do is write to another MP and forward me a copy of their reply, always telling me what the government has already done to improve this situation and always with a self-congratulatory tone, patting themselves on the back about how much they've already improved the lives of the everyday family, blah blah.

I KNOW what they've already done - don't f*cking bother telling me what they've already done - just tell me what they are going to do about it! What they've done is not enough. Fuel prices need to come down and stay down. I mean, when I started driving back in 2007, fuel was just about £1 per litre. So in 5 years, prices have risen by 33%, and are only going to continue to go up if the latest from the fuel price speculators is anything to go by. Great. I can guarantee that wages now aren't 33% higher than they were back then. If anything, people are earning less. Yet their need for fuel hasn't gone down.

As for fuel production coming to an end and the oil reserves drying out - that's horseshit. Oil companies know exactly where there are more reserves. It's in their interest to limit supply, right? So of course they're going to try to keep production low.

Please, someone come along and provide these fuckers with some real competition. By which, I mean a method of cheaply and cleanly producing hydrogen fuel for use in hydrogen fuel-cell powered cars. THEN we'll see some new oil reserves being "discovered" and fuel prices plummeting.

Oh yeah, and my MP STILL hasn't got his name down as a public supporter for FairFuelUK.

135.7 when i filled up this morning, thing is like welly said about scary high prices we're all happy to see it falling but it should never be this fecking high in the first place.

Same here; 128.7 unleaded / 135.7 diesel since the weekend. At least the diesel matches the lowest price nationally......
