Cheap clio for breaking

Post by FarmerPug »

I got myself this old motor today, a friend had it sitting outside his house for the past 8 months and just wanted rid of it:

Ive already started to dissemble the dash (and have managed to detonate and video the airbag :) ) its rough looking, the alternator is seized solid so only works if a good battery is plonked in, the inside stinks unbelievably bad, there is over 160,000 miles, and a dent or gash on nearly every panel. But not bad for a free car.

Free car? its a REALLY good bargain :P
There is some work on it,but if you invest some money, you can get a lot of it after selling.

Setting off the airbag, its one of them things you just always wanted to do :cheesy:
The smell inside its very damp but with old food thrown in, the magic trees surrendered last year and now have adopted the smell of the car.
160k miles on a petrol 1.2 8v clio is a massive amount if it was a 406 its just mature but on a clio its clapped out cold done expired.

Sill nothing gumtree couldn't sell

20004 Rennoult Cleo .12
Grate wee car she has ben well laked after, only 160,000 miles on teh clock runs great, original engen, new engein fitted after head gastek blown, sittin every day for half a year small holes in bonnet should be an easy fix, no alternator belt, needs an alteinator cheap part and belt, really easy to fix only 5 minnite jab, four ruined tyres and mushrooms growing on teh seats.

Im keeping any parts that might be of use on mums clio, headlights, motors etc, although the drivers leccy window is broke and the rear wiper isn't going either not much good about this car. I have stripped out the interior and power hosed the seats, it should be a few weeks fun round the fields especially as the ground is so dry at the moment, whats even better is the handbrake still works

Ha ha they have noticed the old clio. I ripped out the interior completely today bar the dash, the seats cleaned up ok and this revealed a load of cigarette holes, the carpet and headlining are for the fire. And the alternator i got it out, set it in a bucket of red diesel for a few hours then got it spinning with the impact wrench just need to get a belt and see if it will charge.
