Annoying bug or is it ?
Hey all , quick question on my D8 turbo exec i have climate control ( im guessing ) rather than normal a/c and whenever i turn the ignition on auto comes up on the display and the blowers go on. Is there a way to turn this feature off so i don't have to keep pushing the blower down arrow until it goes back to eco ?. Cheers y'all

No sorry your stuck with it. I know it's a pain. It comes on when there's a reasonable difference in outside temperature from when you parked up to when you get back in. It's a pain on the D8 because if you want to switch off the a/c you've got to press the button twice. At least now on a D9, it's only one press, and it doesn't happen anywhere near as much as on the D8.

Well a 'proper' ECO setting is one where the climate control will only run the A/C if it is needed i.e. cooling is required.
Similarly, in mild weather the controls will attempt to maintain the interior without the use of A/C up until it becomes necessary.
I tend to leave mine in auto for 90% of the year, even when heating is required the A/C does help with air quality as it reduces humidity in the car.
If it's below about 10 deg C outside I tend to switch it off, until the car switches it back on again without asking
