Squeaking from brakes while driving but goes when i brake

thought it might be the pads sticking so i took them out and put some copper grease on but its still doing it, any ideas what it could be? is from the left side

Do the caliper pins move freely?

clean caliper pins and grease them well m8

i just undid the bottom calipper bolt and pushed the caliper up, are you talking about different pins?

undo top one to,remove,clean and grease m8,when i say clean i meen with wet and dry paper/wie wool what ever u have.

ill try that at weekend then, hope its not the rears as theyre harder to undo

greased both bolts and still squeaking, dunno what else it could be? goes away when i brake so i dunno

In days of old, car brakes were equipped with "anti squeal shims " which you would apply copperslip to.

I suggest that you smear a small amount of copperslip on the back of the pads

thats the first thing i did, unless its the rear brakes i can hear but i greased those when i did them

Jack the car up , 1 corner at a time and turn each wheel,
you shouid be able to work out which one is giving out the noise then,

have you just fitted new pads?

Never put copper slip on the slider pins....copper slip will cause the sliders to stick.

Make sure the pads are completely free and clean up the pad surface with rough sandpaper....file a chamfer on the edge of the pads whilst they are out.

it doesnt do it all the time tho constantly, i dunno if the car needs to be driven a while or what but its definatly not all the time to be able to diagnose by spinning wheel, na fitted new discs and pads all round atleast a year ago now, and only started doing it last month or 2 that i can remember
