My (unlucky) lucky day!

Post by Welly »

At the MOT place today, one of their customers 'caught' my off side rear bumper and took it right down to the plastic underneath.

He went back in there to admit to it (good lad).

So now they have to respray my back bumper (they are an excellent body shop/insurance work too).

Lucky? you bet, you see the rear bumper has plenty of existing scratches and scuffs, and is not even in the correct shade of colour for some reason, must be an old respray repair attempt.

The rear bumper has been the ONLY thing letting the car down and I have been wanting to get it resprayed for ages.

First time I've 'welcomed' some damaged on a car

With all this luck you wanna stick a few £ on the lottery. You could fall into sh*t and still come out smelling of roses atm. :cheesy:

Before mine had the Astra shunt, my back bumper had a couple of scrapes, only small though, and a tiny dent on the corner of the bumper. So it was nice to see a brand new one going on. While it was being repaired, I asked them to sort out some pretty nasty stone chip/dents on the bonnet. These were really letting the car down. Cost £150, but it changed the car completely.

Well done Welton, nice when a dark cloud has a silver lining.
