top strut bearing mount

Post by jonesblakey »

my suspension has broke and the bearings have as well......just wanted to know how likely it is that the mount has been damaged or could i get away with just getting the bearing and use the mount thats already on as there is a big difference between the price.

yer but the parts will cost me £50 and fitting at local garage is £45.....compared to being £80 for mount and bearing and spring so i think i might just get the bearing and see what happens cant b bothered with going to a scrappy and getting the parts.....sounds like too much trouble......lol and of course i know the parts are new and not take a chance on breaker parts

Oh iam sorry,
ithought you was replacing the parts your self, hence why imentioned just buying a complete leg off a breaker its less hastle for some people if you just want to keep the car on the road, ive used struts off breakers before never had a problem,

id guess if the Mount wasnt anygood mechanic wouid just replace it or atleast iwouid of thought so,
