Could this be a lower rear suspension bush problem

Post by cliffk »

I have had some noise from the rear nearside of the car and with it jacked up I have play when I rocked the wheel side to side and top to bottom, I thought it might have been the wheel bearing so I have changed that. But the play is still there with someone helping me I think I can feel some play in the bottom hub bush near the bottom shocker mount is this possible all other hub mounting points appear solid. Is this bush easy to change?

1st of all. have you changed the top link ? usually on 406s its the toplink thats the problem on the rear.
the bottom rose bushes hardly ever get mentioned on here.

so if it was me i would change the top links 1st .
