Indeed, the 406 Coupe with the V6 engine (at least until 2003) was fitted with Brembo brake calipers and larger (305mm) front brake discs. Therefore, 99.9% of the time you see any brake products advertised for the 406 V6 Coupe, they will be for Brembo brakes, and will not be of any use to you.

HDi 2.2-powered Coupes also got the same Brembo front brakes during production from 2001 through to 2003. There will not be of any use to you either.

The 2.0 Coupe and 2.2 petrol Coupe were all factory-fitted with exactly the same Lucas brake calipers and the exact same front (282mm) and rear discs as every 406 saloon and estate ever left the production line with (including the V6 saloons and estates; it was only the Coupes that got Brembos).

The pack you've posted looks good (especially since it includes the braided brake hoses), but none of it will be suitable for your car unless you're willing to go the whole (expensive) hog and buy and retrofit a pair of Brembo brake calipers and all the other uprated parts from a V6 Coupe. This will cost you a shitload (maybe more), and even then the braided hoses might not fit.

I'd recommend sourcing these uprated parts individually. There are companies who sell complete sports brake disc sets for the 2.0 and 2.2 Coupes; try these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110496280881 (set of four, drilled & grooved (but you can ask for drilled only, or grooved only if you prefer))

Along with these hoses:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120803251796 (set of four)

And these pads:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200657112108 (front)
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200657112483 (rear)

This should make some difference to your standard braking setup. Ensure that the brakes are properly bled after these parts have been fitted!

Apart from those with 260mm front disks and/or drum brakes on the back

Well yeah  I knew about drum brakes on the rear as my old saloon had 'em.

So there were three sizes of front disc then - one for Brembos, but then what about the smaller two?

and the tiny ones are

These last ones only seem to have been fitted to some 1.8s & 1.9tds (and 1.6s for the record but I don't think they're going to come up much).
