Hoggars
I have a 2003 Executive Estate and it has 16" Hoggars fitted,i think that's what they are called,i see coupes are fitted with the same design wheels, would they be the same as fitted to my car? i was looking at picking some up sometime so as to give me an alloy spare and to be able to fit winter tyres to a couple.

Re: Hoggars
I seem to recall that the offset is different between the Coupe and Saloon/Estate models, so there are actually two variants of 16" Hoggar alloy, the only difference being the offset.
Hoggars look nice, but the fact that they are centreless alloys is a MAJOR pain in the ass when trying to get them balanced - some tyre places will flat-out refuse to even try, others will try and find their kit can't do the job, leaving comparatively few places that have the right kit and the knowledge to be able to do it properly.

Re: Hoggars
I actually thought they had the same exact offset - I may be wrong tho. V6 starfish alloys were present on the saloon too I think.highlander wrote:I seem to recall that the offset is different between the Coupe and Saloon/Estate models, so there are actually two variants of 16" Hoggar alloy, the only difference being the offset.

Re: Hoggars
I have a set of 16'' Hoggars (saloon offset) 3 are in good condition, one is scratched but not damaged - ideal for winter tyres.

Re: Hoggars
£75 2 tyres i think are ok, the other 2 are borderline legal. The only reason I am not running them is because I fitted brembo brakes and they wont clear them - so had to fit 17s in a hurry.

Re: Hoggars
Myself & 406loon confirmed this between us when he found his Hoggars didn't accommodate Brembo calipers. Further investigation found that his saloon Hoggars had a 20mm offset while my coupe set are a 12mm.OdinEidolon wrote:I actually thought they had the same exact offset - I may be wrong tho. I was under the impression that the Vulcans had the same mounting? One of the things I liked abouth my Nautilus wheels was that they have a proper mounting face on them, but if the Vulcans are the same, I much prefer the look of them.Gary406 wrote:thats the reason i got rid of my V6 alloys and got the 16" vulcans
