Anti-roll bar query.

Post by conceptcoupe »

Hi all at 406OC.

My 1997 406 estate has failed MOT on one item.

It is the lower anti-roll bar linkage.

:?: I am not sure as to the location of said item. Is it at the front of the car or is it the bar on the side of the suspension leg :?:

Does anyone know the specific item?

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like the front drop link. I have had to replace mine twice (saloon not coupe). One end is on the suspension strut and the other is into the antiroll bar. They aren't too expensive either and reasonably simple to fit providing the nuts haven't seized...which they probably will have! (Had to use angle grinder :D )

Thank you members....

Found the items in question................ Yes seized solid...............and had to use angle grinder.

Had to laugh at the allen key hole.

Even after cleaning it out only got about 3mm into it.
