brakes grinding

my brakes have been grinding now for a few weeks. it doesnt happen every time but when it does it sounds like there grinding as tho the pads are worn out.

but the pads are new only replaced few months ago..

Can be caused by a stone wedged in the caliper.

Does yours have rear discs? - on mine the handbrake friction material had completely detached from the shoe.

Take the pads out, file a chamfer on the edge of the pads and get some 80 grade production paper on the surface of the pad to clean it.

Jack each side up in turn and figure out which wheel is grinding. Take the wheel off and see what's causing it. If it's rear, you could be in for backplate-related pain.

my model has drums at rear...

jasper no time to do that mate will leave them and hope they stop :lol: :lol:

thanks guys will give that a go jasper when we have a rain free day...

seems to be both sides front. they seem to have cleared better but still doing it every so often...
