Large balancing clips

Just had some new tyres. Look a the size of these balancing clips :shock:

Is this a subtle way of telling me that my alloys are fukt?

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

You might want to see if they're straight. I've seen worse anyway...

why do you allow the tyre company to do this?
just ask them to stick them on the inside

With that much weight on a new tyre, they should remount it. Have they got the coloured dots lined up?

Ah, that's a good question StevieboyTD.

That would explain why all of the wheels now have massive balancing clips.

Where are the dots? On the inside? I didn't notice any on the tyre walls.

Usually get red & yellow dots on brand new tyres, these relate to the high/low weight spots of the tyre, think one of them should line up (or go opposite, can't remember which) the tyre valve, to get the best natural balance before you add weights.

Theres about 8 on the inside of one of the T5's alloys :lol:
