Drives me crazy all these additive system faults poping out everytime and car is so not responsive below 2000rpm, have cleaned the fap, added additive fluid, replaced fuel cap sensor- and all the same. So i want to get rid off map and cat and really looking to remap it to 180bhp. Can anyone advese me where to get reguired file or how to contact Doggy? Many Thanks

Re: Newbie
Sorry for hijacking the thread
I am in the process of de-fapping my 406. I have got the map files from dogslife that he uses and read my ECU. I also have a copy of ECUSafe. I read my ECU, de-fapped it with ECUSafe and wrote it back but with no luck (particulate filter error re-appeared). Now this could be due to having a dodgy ECU (the previous owner had all sorts of problems and eventually fitted a new BSI and *i think* had the ECU decoded) I am in the process of obtaining a 'test' replacement ECU to try again.
In the process of reading and flashing the ECU the Galletta instructions say to ensure the HW and SW version of the original file and the one you are going to flash match. The files i got from dogslife have different HW and SW versions to my own so i am hesitant to try using them should the 'new' ECU also not respond to my self de-fapped map.
When anyone else has remapped have the HW and SW versions matched? have you even checked them?
(@dogslife: tried to email you but got no response, perhaps i ended up in your junk folder...)

Re: Newbie
Ben,
I've sent you an e-mail with the HW & SW codes for the various files I know work on my car. All are different, but they all work on mine.
I know you cannot use files that do not match the system architecture, (i.e. from cars with or without Com2000). In my experience they all download OK, but either the immobilser won't de-activate, or it will complain about missing data, e.g. vehicle speed etc. I've had to put the original file back in a few times, but never had any other problems.
