my dad had one said it was great (except in a crash, he says they dont cope too well there), i bought one for the field and it was fantastic to drive, and indestructable, my old thing sat for a few years it was all green, and when i got it, just put a battery in and away it went, never even changed the oil, or did any form of servicing, and it ran on red all the time still kept going.
Them STDTs look really good, a GTI for the recession.

the 106 is a bit twitchy, my mums old diesel one i remember driving it the back end if you didnt deal with a corner right, the car would lift, literally you thought someone was lifting it up from the back, if you werent careful it could lift off oversteer very easy.
Dangerous, but exciting.

yup it is a very twitchy car one of the reasons idont want to buy one for my son hes been passing hints about them tho,
iwill get him a 306 there abit more heavier and ive still got the alloys and stainless steel exhaust off my old 306 that someone ran in the back of so they can be put to good use once again,

he said the 406s are a grandad car idont want one of thems so hopefully he will be happy with a 3o6 if hes not he can keep his bus pass 8)

The small Pugs are twitchy I think that's the reason they are so good. Even the big 406 has a sensitivity in the steering that makes it a bit more responsive especially compared to the primera

I liked my ZX. Was essentially a 306 with a squashed BX body.

Slow XUD engine, but I reckon the handling could have saved my life (or at least my no claims bonus) on at least one occasion

Don't like the Hyundai Getz, what a detestable, non-descript, boring little car.

i agree, but have you noticed that particular model appears to have the ability to change its interior, its got 2 dashboards. Both horrible but it can change them.

One is a AU Ford Falcon - quite possibly the ugliest car ever made (and they drive like crap too) - Live rear axle etc, very crude!

As for the Getz - every teenager has one here, as they are cheap to fix and insure!

Everyone in Carrickfergus seems to have a Hyundai, due to the main dealer there.

The Rover SD1 could have the dash mounted on either side. The passenger side air vent was actually the LHD steering column hole
