Gumtree is like that. Sell a car and see it next day for +£500 with a made up service history.

I do like being given a car :) Last one, a ZX estate was a very usable car, I ran for a few months, serviced and cleaned it up and alongside my Xantia couldn't afford to run 2 cars at the time, then sold the both of them and bought a GTV :)

Being given a car is the best sort of car, i like an old banger for a car, you dont have to worry about the things when driving a good car, such as parking dents, broken things, or rattles you just drive it until it stops, and if it doesnt stop just keep on driving it.

I like the 2.3 (but would want the v6 if i got one)
didnt father ted drive one of these?
i can see why so many people disliked the sierra, the cortina was much better looking, more agressive, watching old episodes of the professionals, ford really did get a good bit of product placement.

I thought all the 2.3s were V6s? Father Ted did have 1, albeit not quite so high spec. Best one I ever went in was a 2.8 conversion that was lowered & sat on 205 GTi 1.9 wheels.

I think Father Ted's car was originally Northern, judging by the Sunday Life sticker in the rear window.

On the Father Ted programme they did on New Years they recreated the journey to parochial house in a mk2 Granada. Similar looking car, but bigger.

As well as the Cortina he also drove a mk3 Escort, visible in "And God maketh Woman" when he ran into the back of an Austin Princess, and the bloke gets out and lamps him

Don't forget the old Rover 200 that he got for a raffle prize with the small dent that would tap out!

Ah yes, with the incorrect '96 plate.

I think there were 2 200s, as can be seen when he drives the tapped one up to the dancing priest's house.

the end result, after Jack's drink-driving was a cut and shut, so there must have been 3 or 4?

Girlfriends cousin said tapping the dent out reminded him of me with the 406 trying to patch up a small bit of rust and ending up with most of the door rust-primered and aerosoled

seen a lovely T-reg d8 estate in mint condition today derv and plenty of T&t £200
there was a d9 a few miles past that one in rough condition tax till end of the month and 4 mths mot and they wanted £1,200 for it the d8 was 100 times better condition :?
