ok, just asking, since you live only about 3 hours away from where I study.
I'd like to switch to leather too... LMK if you find someone selling leather interiors here in Europe, please!

And....... the water pump's gone  It didn't loose enough to need topping up or anything so it's only just started. The crank pulley looks fine but all the rest is being changed. Not really happy about it but it'd need changing next year anyway and it'd be rude not to while it's in bits.

In other news, The Hague has f*cked Croatia (if you see a film called "Searching for a Storm" watch it, it's a documentary on Ante Gotovina and why he is a hero, not a criminal, and why exactly this has been done to him).

Also, a friend of ours here, a chap my wife was at school with, seems to have chucked himself in front of train. But it could be someone with the same name. Don't know for sure yet.

You can curse your bad luck, or celebrate your good luck finding it while it's already in bitz....
The second option costs as much, but makes you feel better.

I'll take option #2 please thankyou :cheesy: I have European breakdown cover but I wouldn't want to put it to the test unless I really have to. And it's bound to break down miles from anywhere, Sod's Law innit.

All diddley done. There was a bit of a "moment" when I drove it off down the road and it was flat as a pancake (no power at all!) but that turned out to be the vacuum pipe knocked off the turbo. 1,800Kn (£216)

Here you go:
Image

It makes a creaking noise if you spin it, which is what I could (just) hear.

And yes, it was who we thought it was. He ran the little restaurant in town here where I go with the wife almost every Friday, bit of a piss taker, always ready with a laugh and a joke. And talked to me in German to take the mickey for me not being able to speak the lingo here, because he knew I hated it. Tears of a clown I guess :(

I don't think so, I think all that's gone is (probably) the bases for the rear seat.

The more I hear about this, the worse it gets. I won't believe what I'm hearing until I read it in the paper (and probably not then either - I have experience of being written about  ) but now it's looking like a murder-suicide.

Was going to take the whole lot off you Steve as was planning on using your driver's seat base to make a height adjustable passenger seat in mine & thought you wanted the whole lot shifted, but the armrest would definitely be surplus to requirements if you can make a few quid back mate.

If it's any help, the only parts I plan on making use of are the drivers seat base (for the height adjustable passenger seat) & the rear metal bases.

& I'll sort you out something for them as I couldn't take them for nothing.

The free seats, impromptu cambelt change & murder thread

Post by steve_earwig »

Well ok, I was asking nowt 'cos I'll only be in the UK for 6 full days, it'll all be a bit of a rush and I didn't want to lumber my dad with the job of getting rid of it all. Plus, I figured with leather available for 150 quid or less, no one would actually want it if I asked real money for it.

Ok, the seats will be going your way, arm rest to Mr. Baurluvva (btw do you need the bracket out of the seat too? You need to pm me an address I reckon  )
