I drove one last year. Workmate got it for £600 with 45k on the clock, but a couple of rust scabs & bumper scrapes. Was pretty quick, but to be honest, not as quick as you'd expect a 200bhp car to be.

Ultima spec though whith absolutely everything working from the seat memory to the wing mirrors that aim down when reverse is selected.

It is an ugly beast, and I would rather have an Omega diesel, but they are rare and a bit of an underdog and for that reason I quite like them.

Shame Ford and Vauxhall don't make a big car anymore. Even if they imported the Australian Falcon / Commodore it would fill that gap with the only development costs being lumping a small petrol / 2 litre-ish diesel engine in.

Iused to work for Ford many years ago,
iwas a Guard at a compound irember hearing the Alarm going off on a car so i went out to check,
there was a car well coverd with sheeting lifted that up and thought what the fook is that

it was the Scorpio it hadnt even come out yet so iwas pretty shocked how weird it looked with its American look ,

the gaffa told me to keep my mouth shut about the car when itold him the alarm had trigerd,

never knew why he wanted it kept quiet tho,

It was truly shocking when it came out. Was an American designer.

Wouldn't be keen on buying a brand new Ford, given the way they treated Visteon. Offloaded the Belfast plant to a spinoff company, closed it down then washed their hands off pension commitments.

Ah visteon good stuff but can you get part for it if it goes wrong ..no
my ford galaxy had visteon dvd and all the toys couidnt get parts for it ended up ripping it all out and putting my own in,
the visteon 12v video recorders where useful tho handy with a camera if anyone rear ends you,
ive still got the video recorder somewhere imight fit it in the 406

Visteon in Belfast made components, seatbelts and injectors I think

No wonder there's no parts. Ford screwed them over and they shut the plants.
